Quilting and Sewing for the Holidays
I've just completed two paper pieced wall hangings from a pattern called Cartwheel Costa Rica by Judy Maitheson. One wall hanging is made with bold primary colors and the other wall hanging is made with subtle colors and two printed fabrics. Both wall hangings are very beautiful and display a completely different look.
The fabrics I have chosen are primarily from two Robert Kaufman collections - Fusions 5573 and Fusions 5572. One background fabric is Kona black cotton and the other is a Kokopelli print by Timeless Treasures.
These wall hangings are gifts for my two beautiful daughters (neither of whom sew a stitch!). I've decided to make one more Cartwheel Costa Rica wall hanging for our home. I am definitely addicted to paper piecing and look forward to many new projects for 2011!
