During the holiday season I cut, pieced and sewed another (this is number 3) awesome colorful Cartwheel Costa Rica wall hanging for our home. Now I need to apply the batting and backing and begin quilting so that I have it finished in time to enter into the Timberlane Quilt Show at the end of March (photo to follow). I belong to the Timberlane Quilter's guild here in Powell River and every two years they host a really great quilt show. The show draws many people to view the many beautiful quilts that are entered by the Guild members. There certainly are a lot of talented quilters here in Powell River!
On another thought, every month I send out a newsletter to those people who have signed up on the mailing list on the web site. The January 2011 newsletter was sent out Monday January 3, 2011 and you can view it here: http://p0.vresp.com/sKZoSb.
The Galena Bay Novelty Fabrics newsletter announces new fabric arrivals, new products, upcoming sales and activities and provides an informative bit of information on quilting and sewing ideas and trends. If you would like to be included in the mailing list you can visit the home page of the web site and look to the right hand column where you will see the sign-up box.
